Thomas Conte, MD
Thomas Conte, MD, earned his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his general surgery residency at Yale-New Haven Waterbury Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, followed by a thoracic surgery residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Dr. Conte is Chief of General Surgery and served as past president of the medical staff at Van Wert Health.
Dr. Conte performs a wide range of general surgery procedures including breast surgery, hernia repair, skin lesion removal, and scopes such as bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, and upper endoscopy (EGD).
He specializes in advanced laparoscopic procedures (gallbladder, colon, and hernia) and thoracoscopic procedures (minimally invasive chest surgery). He also performs traditional thoracic surgery (lung and chest) and vascular surgery.
