M. Nizar Orfahli, MD, FCCP received his medical degree from Damascus University in Syria. He completed his internship at University Hospitals in Damascus, followed by a residency in internal medicine with advanced training in cardiopulmonary and critical care medicine. He continued his training at Lutheran Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio and at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He completed his fellowship in pulmonary and critical care medicine at Harvard Medical School, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Board-certified in pulmonary and internal medicine and fellowship-trained in pulmonary and critical care medicine, Dr. Orfahli looks forward to welcoming patients to the Van Wert Health Pulmonary Clinic. With over 25 years of experience, he provides unique and personalized care for a wide range of pulmonary disorders, including asthma, COPD, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis, among many others.
